Is Apple’s new iPad any good?

On Apple’s May 7 event, a new iPad Air and Pro have been announced, as well as an Apple Pencil Pro. These changes may seem ridiculous but let’s take a closer look to make that clear.

iPad Air and Pro

In these new iPad models, we can clearly see how ridiculously thin it is. Well, this can actually result in a benefit. The reduced amount of weight on the iPad would make it MUCH easier to carry, for people. During the event they have also announced a new M4 chip! This means that the performance of the device would be increased. No need for that stubborn lag anymore, right? By the way, Apple has finally moved the face camera to the top of the iPad! But how does that even make a difference, it’s still the same!

Apple Pencil Pro

It looks like a new Apple Pencil has also been announced in the May 7 event! But this time it’s a pro, because it’s the Apple Pencil Pro! Some new features have been added, so let’s take a look at them!

Firstly, we have the hover. This a new feature that works when you hover the tip of the pencil just over your iPad. This gives a preview of where you are going to start drawing. I mean, this does not make a huge difference but it still looks quite helpful.

The next feature on our list is the barrel roll. This is a new feature, so when you rotate your Apple Pencil Pro you will be able to draw at different angles.

Next is the squeeze feature. This a new feature, that when you squeeze an area near the tip of the pencil, you will be able to quickly switch between tools.
